here's a little bit of an incite into my job. only one of the bullet points is actually referring to porn, and only then in among other things.

Key Accountabilities
• Compliance of broadcast content according to Ofcom, ASA, legal and other regulatory guidelines.
• Creative editing and packaging of editorial content for broadcast.
• Liaising with external production companies and advising on compliance of commissioned editorial material.
• Liaising with external service providers and advising on acquired editorial material.
• Justifying editorial decisions to external regulatory bodies.
• Advising internal production on broadcast compliance.
• Asset workflow management.

I've just had to write this, which is why i'm posting it.

so, what does your company think your job entails?

the main points of my job description are:

-identify opportunities for promoting the annual programme of national events
-write marketing plans for events and project manage the campaigns, identifying channels of promotion and target audiences.
- manage creative development of events promotional materials
-maintenence of online marketing activities on external websites, e-newsletters and e-campaigns
-project manage all e-comms for nationwide events and assist with broadcast when necessary

there a quite a lot more points to my jd, but considering its two pages long i don't really want to have to post all of it up.

i also do things which aren't really included in my job description at, mainly because no one else wants to do them and i don't mind - things like social media, and other online related projects which don't really sit well under anyone's job description (or didn't when i took them on at any rate).

oh, this is the briefest of job descriptions for my position, but that was the point. i had to condense a four page (astonishingly badly written) description down to something a little more useful. the act of writing this job description is, notably, not in my job description. a fact which may lead to the implosion of the universe. but lets hope not.

OK, so for anyone else who does post a job description* also post what your friends would say you do for a living when asked. i think we are all well aware that my friends would say that i either "watch porn" (most common answer) or "watch tv."

*i'm trying to avoid abbreviating it to jd because i'll just get scrubs lines stuck in my head...oh crap

A quick run down on what i do:

- Support Project Managers with Project Management implementation and software
- Identify and manage macro assessment for projects
- Support the roll out of Project Management to other organisations.
- Develop and conduct training and coaching related to project management framework
- Conduct training for project team members and maintain the trainings script accordingly
- Conduct PPMS training for management and middle management
- Administration of reporting system.

I also train new people coming into the organisation about what we do and how it works. I think if you ask my friends they say that i drive fast cars and train people in something.
