Inspired by a note Sarah Gutesjahr posted to Facebook, I present a lyrics quiz.

Below you will find the first one, two, or (if I thought it was very hard) three lines of a song that I have in my iTunes library. All you have to do is identify the title and artist of each song. One point for each. If you identify a different artist who's also recorded/released that song I'll give you half a point but only if no-one else has already guessed the one I was thinking of, and only for the first other artist. If someone else (or you!) identifies the artist I was thinking of they(you)'ll get the other half of that point.

Of course using Google is cheating, though careful examination of my signature here might help. Not a lot mind.

I have nothing of worth to award as a prize, save admiration and respect.

At the weekend when I have the time I'll do a Never Mind The Buzzcocks-esque audio intro for each and cut it just before the lyrics... y/n?

Ok, I'm done. I have to apologise that some of the intros are rather short; I wasn't picking them with doing an intro quiz in mind. Indeed, two of the tracks have no intro, and begin immediately with lyrics, so you'll have to do without those. Luckily one of them has already been correctly guessed.
